I think I’m addicted to podcasts. Every evening, as I cook dinner, I have my Sansa MP3 player piping voices into my head. Podcasts are so engrained into my routine that I am reluctant to even boil water if my RSS feeds come up empty. Gaming podcasts in particular are just as important to my daily industry coverage as Kotaku or Destructoid. Robert Ashley is at it again with the third installment of his podcast series, A Life Well Wasted. This episode asks the simple question, “Why game?” In finding that answer, the show ends up discussing the very nature of video games as art. In this discussion Ashley talks to Jason Rohrer, the genius behind Passage, and we find ourselves learning about his environmentally-sustainable lifestyle. A must listen.
