I found these great pieces while hunting around CheapAssGamer, today. One of the users had “The M.K.” in his signature and I was intrigued. I followed the site on the painting and found these as a result. Being a gaming website, I am only going to post some of the game-inspired work of Jose Emroca Flores, but don’t think for a second that the rest of his pieces don’t deserve a look!

Jose is currently the Senior Concept Designer for High Moon Studios and has previously worked for other big players in the gaming industry. His artwork has been featured in a number of publications including Computer Arts, Nintendo Power, Iam8bit, Game Informer and Society of Illustrators. SXSW’s Screenburn Interactive offers tons of gaming but this year I also got a chance to check out some amazing concept art. Into the Pixel is a traveling exhibition of art from video games begun in 2004. The following pieces are the 2008 entries and if you visit the Pixel website, I’m sure you’ll agree that the work has improved year by year.
