About Us

GamesPlusBlog is a site about game culture and game development. As editors and writers, we are focused on providing the latest gaming news, reviews, and editorials with as much enthusiasm as we have for gaming.

Our passion for gaming allows us to write about unique experiences in games that are often overlooked by the mainstream press. Additionally, we intend to build and maintain a repository of information regarding game developers, gaming associations, and career development in the video game industry.

In short, we aim to provide:

· An array of perspectives on what it means to be a part of gaming culture

· Interviews with game developers and gamers.

· The latest gaming news, reviews, and editorials.

· A repository of gaming industry resources.

· An enthusiastic, no BS approach to articles

Our team is based out of Texas and California, so you can expect us to cover local events and developers as much as possible. We’d like to hear from you if you have story ideas, tips on local happenings, or just want to say hi.

GamesPlusBlog is looking for voluntary, unpaid copy editors, writers and other media content producers. If you’re interested please send an email with samples of your work to howdy[at]gamesplusblog.com.

We are also working on expanding the GamesPlusBlog family with the upcoming launch of ComicsPlusBlog. Please contact CPB’s editor, Joveth Gonzalez at joveth[at]comicsplusblog.com for more information.

I have been an avid gamer my entire life and I consider myself to be an enthusiastic collector of video games. Before this, I wrote at GayGamer.net for nearly two years before deciding to try something else. As for games that I like to play, I mainly focus on RPGs, RTS, FPS, adventure, indie and quirky games. If there’s something you’d like to see on the site, let us know. We look forward to reading what you have to say.

Hey ya’ll I’m the designer and one of writers for GPB. While I enjoy a good SF4 bout, my favorite genres are RTS, and Indie games. I hope that you’ll share your thoughts and invite your friends because I think we’ve made a great forum for gaming conversation. Keep reading, and please send us feedback, we’d love to hear your rants and column ideas. Live long and prosper.

Why do we play video games? I’d like to say, perhaps pretentiously, that video games are a young artistic medium that enriches my life. I’ll admit, games may not be as mature as movies or literature at the same age. But the semantics of story telling in an interactive art form are challenging. I’m here to watch the pioneers of this frontier show us all what’s possible. And kill zombies.
