Come listen to the pilot episode of our new GamesPlusPodcast as Chris and Ruben discuss gaming industry news, SXSW ScreenBurn, Flixel Game Jams in Austin, and male nudity in Heavy Rain and Dante’s Inferno. Trust us, this is very NSFW, NSFC, NSFKFC, and any other acronym you can tag on to NSF.
GPB crew back at it again! Norman, Paul and Mike are now joined by two dastardly rogues, Devin and James from the Completely Unreasonable podcast, in an attempt to discuss gaming piracy and videogames as art.
Passage (PC) – We talked about this in ‘passing’ so we’ll definitely come back to it later.
OMGz and how could I forget – - Sexy Poker!!
Audio artistry by Battles “Atlas”, Marvin Gaye “Sexual Healing”, Madvillain “Meat Grinder”, Here We Go Magic “Fangela”, RAC remix of The Shins “Sleeping Lessons”, and finally Girl Talk “Smash Your Head”

Dead Fantasy creator Monty Oum has done it again. The third video in the series was released late yesterday afternoon and, as expected, is chock full of action. For those of you not in the know, Dead Fantasy pits the ladies of Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive against each other. The first two installments should be really easy to find and are certainly worth a watch. Dead Fantasy III features Tifa and Hitomi from Final Fantasy VII and DoA, respectively. I will admit that fighters aren’t my thing, but I do enjoy watching them. On that note, watch the video and I hope you like it.
I got a copy of the Endwar bundle that comes with this official Sony PS3 Headset. Since I was wondering specifically what was in the box before I bought the thing, I thought I’d try my hand at an unboxing video. My webcam may be crappy, but I hope the video’s informative.
I think I’m addicted to podcasts. Every evening, as I cook dinner, I have my Sansa MP3 player piping voices into my head. Podcasts are so engrained into my routine that I am reluctant to even boil water if my RSS feeds come up empty. Gaming podcasts in particular are just as important to my daily industry coverage as Kotaku or Destructoid. To top it off, the hosts’ lively banter offer an entertaining way to get news and game impressions. Here are some of my favorites cherry picked from my RSS feeds…
Halflife2.net has revealed the leaked “Meet the Spy” video. If you were wondering what Valve’s been doing since the last video, well, they’ve been doing this.
The video parodies films like 007 nicely. In fact it reminds me of NOLF. I really ought to reinstall that game and finish it.
SXSW’s Screenburn Interactive offers tons of gaming but this year I also got a chance to check out some amazing concept art. Into the Pixel is a traveling exhibition of art from video games begun in 2004. The following pieces are the 2008 entries and if you visit the Pixel website, I’m sure you’ll agree that the work has improved year by year.
I want to understand this game. I really do, but I still can’t grasp the gameplay from the footage and screenshots that have come out over the past few weeks concerning the Katamari Damacy creator’s latest game, Noby Noby Boy. It just must be one of those games where you have to buckle down and play it to truly understand it…maybe. Who knows? Just watch the launch trailer.
@normantran: My Unity3d baby steps: I spent 6 hours today creating a script to spawn a steady stream of spherical physics objects. I call it Ball Hose%
